Differences chipset northbridge with southbridge chipset and find out its location

Chipset northbridge just bridge the flow of data around the processor, RAM, FSB, VGA, and power management.

But....

Chipset southbridge working set of peripherals. As IDE Controller, PCI, BIOS ROM, keyboard, mouse, USB, Eth., LAN, etc.

Now we know difference chipset northbridge and southbridge chipset.

Usually the location of chipset northbridge near by socket processor.  Different with southbridge chipset which is under the chipset northbridge.
