Basketball is a sport ball in groups consisting of two teams each consisting of five people who compete to score points by putting the ball into the opponent's basket. Basketball is perfect to watch because usually played in enclosed spaces and requires only a relatively small field. Additionally, basketball is easy to learn because it forms a large ball, so it is not difficult for players when the bounce or throw the ball.
Basketball is one sport that is most favored by residents of the United States and residents in the other hemisphere, among others in South America, Southern Europe, Lithuania, and also in Indonesia.
Basketball is considered as a unique sport because it was created by accident by a sport teacher. In 1891, Dr. James Naismith, a Canadian sports teacher who taught at a college for professional students at the YMCA (a Christian youth container) in Springfield, Massachusetts, should make a game in an enclosed space to fill time students during winter break in New England. Inspired from the game time he was small in Ontario, Naismith invented the game now known as a basketball on December 15, 1891.
